I came across this beauty at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago. It is gorgeous chalk board surrounded by red beadboard. It was marked down to $2 because she was missing a hook. I did not see a broken hook but some amazing potential. Who could pass up an adorable chalkboard like this broken hook or not?!
I was going to paint her but the red is so vibrant and beautiful that I decided to leave it alone. I moved the hooks around so they were on either end of the board and placed a cute fabric flower in the middle. Then I go out my cricut and cut out the words and decorations for the top. I now have a gorgeous Menu board for my kitchen. Maybe this will put an end to the "What's for dinner?" I hear everyday!

Very cute idea. Though I will warn you: The What's for dinner? doesn't go away. You could have it written on the walls all over the house and the question will still get asked. It's a lot like: are we there yet?
very cute. I need to go to the Thrift Shop more.
